Fix: PowerPoint Viewer fails to start in Microsoft Office

This article may interest you, if when you try to start Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007, the application fails to launch.

You experience this issue, if you have a non-English version of Microsoft Office or of PowerPoint Viewer installed on a computer that has an English version of Microsoft Windows installed.

To resolve this issue, do the following:

1. Click Start > Search > All files and folders.
2. In the All or part of the file name box, type ppvwintl.dll, and then click Search.
3. In the search results list, right-click Ppvwintl.dll, and then click Copy.
4. Open the following folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
6. If this folder contains a folder that is named “1033,” go to step 7.

If this folder does not contain a folder that is named “1033,” create one. To do so, follow these steps:
1. On the File menu, click New, and then click Folder.
2. Type 1033, and then press ENTER.
7. Open the “1033” folder, and then click Paste on the Edit menu.
