Resolve: Printer Settings not retained when printing a Word document

If after you specify printer settings which include the paper size, the page orientation, and the page margins, you print the Microsoft Word document and it differs from what you specified, then this article may interest you.

You experience this issue, if the Page Setup settings that you specify in your Word document override the settings that you specify in the printer driver properties.

To resolve this issue, do not specify the paper size, page orientation, or page margins in the printer driver properties. Rather, specify these settings in your Word document page setup.

If there are multiple sections in your document, you must specify the settings for each section of the document.

For steps on how to specify these settings, visit Microsoft KB904805 .
