Fix: Error message “The time is not valid in the current time zone” when running daylight saving time in the RoleTailored client in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009

This article may interest you, if when when you run a planning for an item in the RoleTailored client (RTC), for a work center that has a shift which includes the time between 2 :00 AM and 3:00 AM, and you receive the following error message:

The time ’03/13/11 2:00:00 AM” is not valid in the current time zone.
For example, when the clock is adjusted forward, any time in the period that is skipped is invalid.

This problem occurs because the time between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM does not exist in the start day of the daylight saving time.

Note: When you run the planning worksheet in the classic client, no error occurs.
This problem occurs in the following products:
– Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2
– Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

To resolve this issue, Microsoft KB2536715 recommends, you download and run Hotfix 2530283 solution.

This fix applies to Microsoft Dynamics NAV for all countries and all language locales.
