Microsoft BitLocker Administration & Monitoring (MBAM) Beta now Available

Microsoft has announced that the beta version of Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM) tool is now available and this tool can be downloaded at Microsoft Connect.

BitLocker is a security feature integrated in Windows 7 Enterprise and Ultimate which focuses on full volume encryption of operating system partitions, fixed data partitions, and removable drives.

MBAM builds on BitLocker in Windows 7 and offers IT Pro’s an enterprise solution for BitLocker provisioning, monitoring and key recovery.

This tool will help them simplify BitLocker provisioning and deployment independent or as part of their Windows 7 migration, improves compliance and reporting of BitLocker, and reduces support costs.

According to Microsoft;

When the development of MBAM is complete we will make it available as part of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP).
