Resolve: “Error C000009A” after installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

This article may interest you, if after installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), you receive the following error message on a blue screen:
“Error C000009A applying update operation {###} of {###} (\Registry…)”

The error is most likely caused by an interaction between Language Pack cleanup operations and perhaps AntiVirus Software running at a low level in your system. Another likely cause is that the Registry was damaged in some way before the Service Pack was applied.
