General Availability: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 now available for all Users

Last week, Microsoft made available Windows 7 & Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 for download to MSDN and TechNet subscribers, today Microsoft has released Service Pack 1 for all and can be download from Microsoft Download Centre or via Windows Update.

This Service Pack contains 2 major new features which wont affect the general users. Two new features in the service pack are RemoteFX and Dynamic Memory.

RemoteFX, a key feature of Remote Desktop Services lets IT administrators deliver a rich graphics experience to end-users through virtualized desktops.

Dynamic Memory allows customers to achieve increased density when they’re consolidating physical servers into a virtual realm, providing them with predictable performance and linear scalability.

Recommended: If you have previously installed Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 1 RC then you have to uninstall it before installing the final version.
