Go green with the new file format from World Wide Fund

A new file format, called the WWF format which is a ‘green file format‘ has been introduced by World Wide Fund.

The idea behind this new file format is to try save paper and consequently trees!

The WWF format is a PDF that cannot be printed out. It’s a simple way to avoid unnecessary printing. So here’s your chance to save trees and help the environment. Decide for yourself which documents don’t need printing out – then simply save them as WWF.

WWF has long worked with companies and consumers to promote responsible paper use and the option to “Save as WWF” compliments and reinforces other well-established campaigns – most notably the “Think Before You Print” initiative.

Head over to WWF site and download the free software and be part of the campaign. To support the WWF format, all you need do is to save your document/s as WWF and send it out.

Once you install it, in the Print menu of your PDF reader, you will get to see a save as WWF option.
